aBandhavgarh National Park is located in Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. This National Park was built in the year 1968.

Its area is 437 sq km. Here lions can be easily seen. It is a National Park of Madhya Pradesh which is surrounded by 32 hills.

This is one of the leading national parks of India. The tiger’s stronghold (Bandhavgarh) spread over 448 square kilometers.

This park has a central mountain called Bandhavgarh. There are small hills near this mountain 811 meters high. Years in the park and bamboo trees enhance natural beauty.

Status of Bandhavgarh National Park

The garden is divided into three main areas. These are- Taal, Magadi, and Bamera. Of these, the Pool area is the most attractive for tourists because they get an opportunity to see tigers here.

Mixed vegetation is found in Bandhavgarh National Park. There are also long-standing grasslands to the jungle, and therefore it is the perfect home for different types of animals and birds.

Animals found in Bandhavgarh National Park

In this National Park, 22 species of animals and 250 species of birds are found. These wild animals can be seen by riding on an elephant or by sitting in the vehicle.

In addition to the tigers, Nilgai, Choshinga, Chital, Chinkara, Wild boar and sometimes fox come in other attractions.

According to Forest Department officials, more than 250 species of birds are found here.

There are about 80 species of butterflies and many species of reptiles.
