Dr. Radhakrishnan was the first Vice-President of India and the second (1962-1997) President. Radhakrishnan, who started the teaching work from Presidency College, Madras, went on to become a professor at the University of Mysore and then worked as a teacher in many universities of the country.

Radhakrishnan was born on 5 September 1888 in Thirutani Gov in Tamil Nadu, fond of reading books since his childhood. Born in a simple family, Radhakrishnan’s childhood was spent on religious places like Tiruttani and Tirupati.
