Shankar Dayal Sharma, the ninth president of independent India, was born on August 19, 1918, in Bhopal city of Madhya Pradesh.

His father’s name was Khushalal Sharma and mother’s name was Subhadra Sharma. Shankar Dayal ji completed his education from the University of India and abroad.

Shankar Dayal ji started education from St. John’s College. After this, he also received training from Agra University and Allahabad University.

He went to Lucknow University for Law Studies (L.L.M). Due to the passion for education, Shankar Dayal went to Ph.D. to Ritzville College, Cambridge University.

After this, he did a Diploma in Public Administration from the University of London.

Even after receiving such education, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma did not stay here, he taught law at Lucknow University for nine years, and was a professor there.

After this, he went to London and also taught law to children at Cambridge University.
