aVan Vihar National Park is a national park in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh state of India. As soon as the name of the National Park (National Park) is heard, the scene of thick forests spreading far in front of the eyes and open wild animal animals emerge.

 But if you ever visit Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal, there will be a ‘Van Vihar’ National Park, built in the heart of the city; it seems to prove all these things wrong. This is ‘Three in One’ National Park.

As well as this unique park is National Park, there is also a zoo (zoo) and a rescue center for wild animals.

Animals found in this National Park spread over 445 hectares area have not been brought from the forest.

 Most of the animals here are those who were unclaimed, weak, sick, injured or old, or wandered through the forests and then came to the rural and urban areas and later they were captured and brought here.

 Some animals have been brought here from other animal museums, while some have been rescued from circuses and kept here.

Van Vihar is wonderful. The five-kilometer long this National Park has a whole mountain and green plain area covered with forests and greenery.

On the other hand, Bhopal has a famous and beautiful big lake (rhythm). This confluence looks very beautiful in itself. Van Vihar is a public zoo.

It is the only ‘big zoo’ of the state that is a huge zoo. Earlier it was in the middle-class zoo. It is also the only zoo in the country which is supervised by the Forest Department.

There are also two other zoos in the state. They are located in Indore and Gwalior. But both of these zoos fall under the category of ‘Small Zoo,’ i.e., small zoos and they are supervised by the local municipal corporation.

Status of Van vihar National Park

In the capital of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, on the hill near the big pond, Van Vihar was located almost three decades ago, and the jungle forest was destroyed due to the population’s destruction.

 In the year 1981, the protection of the forest area of ‚Äč‚Äčthis hill started intensively, and soon the hills started getting green.

 On January 26, 1983, the hill and its surrounding 445.21 ha. The area was named as the National Park and named as Van Vihar.

In Van Vihar, nature looks in its natural form and some part of Bhopal’s big pond (about 50 ha), which is part of Van Vihar, is also a part of Van Vihar.

 Which makes all the scenes very captivating. The waves of eight-story water in the water’s expansion of the pond, the swimming pools, and lakes make tourists boating and creating exotic beauty.

 Seeing the Sun going down across the big pond during the evening is a thrilling experience in itself.

Animals found in Van vihar National Park

Tigers, lions, leopards, bears, Hina, cigars, gaur, barasingha, sambhar, chital, nilgai, blacksmith, langur, wild pig, Asahi, rabbit, crocodile, ghadiyal, turtle and various types of snake, etc.

  About 8 km from Bhopal railway station And about 6.5 km from Habibganj railway station. Can be reached by auto and taxi.

Roadway – 

  Can be reached by own vehicle or by auto and taxi.

Air route – 

Rajabhoj is about 17 km from the plane. Taxi can be accessed from etc.
